Stelvio Pass

The Stelvio Pass, known as Passo dello Stelvio in Italian, is an iconic route hailed as one of the most exhilarating and challenging climbs in the world of cycling. Nestled in the Italian Alps, this legendary pass acsends to an elevation of 2,757 meters (9,045 feet), featuring 48 hairpin bends on its northern side, making it a true test of endurance and skill for any cyclist. Starting from either Prato allo Stelvio or Bormio, riders will be treated to unmatched scenic beauty, including dramatic alpine landscapes, lush valleys, and panoramic views that stretch for miles. The climb from Prato allo Stelvio covers approximately 24.3 km (15.1 miles) with an average gradient of 7.4%, while the ascent from Bormio is 21.5 km (13.3 miles) with a 7.1% gradient. Both routes offer an exhilarating mix of steep sections, tight switchbacks, and breathtaking scenery.
