Naka-Tsukuba-san loop

This ride takes you through the beautiful countryside and hills around Victoria. Includes Munn Rd, the Observatory, and Metchosin. Primarily on low traffic back roads and bike trails. (less)

This route travels from Naka alongside the Kuji river and up into the mountains with a lunch stop in Takuba. An optional ride up to Mount Shakujo is included. (less)

This route provides a variety of terrain and views. It has long sections on a very flat bike path, a nice climb followed by a fast descent, and several water crossings. There is little to no traffic on most of the route, and the entire ride is on pavement, apart from very short sections (10 m) of basic gravel.

NOTE: the photos were taken in February, so they aren't as bright and colorful as you will see later in Spring/Summer/Fall. (less)

This loop starts in Clearwater, follows the Fred Marquis Pinellas bike trail to Fort De Soto Beach, returns via Gulf Blvd, and provides a good base loop for exploring the area. Variations on the route are described, by adding out-and-back segments to St. Petersburg or to the Skyway fishing pier. (less)

This route uses small roads to travel from Naka to Craft Hills park in Kasama, which includes a number of interesting sites and restaurants. The route back includes some climbs and follows the Kuji River bank. (less)

This route starts in downtown Clearwater, travels North and East to Starky Wilderness Park and back across the Courtney Campbell Causeway. Most of the route is on bike paths, but some busy roads are necessary to connect. (less)
