This is a self-supported, unsanctioned group ride
This is a 100% open course on public roads, open to cars and automobile traffic. Riders agree to RIDE AT THEIR OWN RISK. You and ONLY you will be responsible for navigating hazards as they relate to traffic, roads, general safety and weather conditions. Riders are absolutely under their own responsibility to ride, navigate and conduct themselves safely and appropriate to conditions as they exist in the field. This is not a race or an organized event. On the contrary, we are and have always been just a nice group of friends out for a fast fun bike ride.
Riders understand that as a condition of participation ..ie..'showing up', riders agree to assume all risks and agree to release and hold harmless everyone associated with this ride, including any organizers, volunteers or sponsors.

Route Details

The ¡[Sauvie Shootout](https://www.facebook.com/groups/sauvieislandshootout/)! is a spirited weekly group drop ride. Bring a friend or 3 and make it part of your weekly training plan! This route is gorgeous every day of the week, but Sunday Morning is the time to jump in the mix, work on pack riding skills, riding a paceline, energy conservation and sprint technique. We are offering our signature double-your-money-back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied with your experience.

# Route

The ride begins with a relaxed @slice[10 mile neutral, conversational warmup](d,0,16110.11) until the group crosses the bridge, arriving on Sauvie Island. As the group descends the bridge onto the Island, the screws get turned.

We do 2 laps around the Island *EVERY SUNDAY* morning.

After 2 laps on the Island, there is a regroup at @photo[The Cracker Barrel](3391325) store for comaraderie and refreshments before climbing up into the West Hills. The map shows McNamee as the climb of choice, but group consensus each week dictates the route. Some riders choose to pass on climbing altogether and return home on Highway 30.
